(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov. 9, 2018) Janelle Hummingbird was recently awarded the Scholastic All American award by USA Swimming. Upon receiving this award, she becomes only the second Rockwall swimmer to ever achieve this status.
In order to qualify, a swimmer must meet rigorous time standards as well as maintain a 3.5 GPA. This honor helped get the attention of many Division 1 schools. She will be signing her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, November 14th to become an Arkansas Razorback. She intends to major in Art.
Janelle will be following in the footsteps of her sister, Jordan who is the only Rockwall graduate to ever play four years in D1, 2 or 3 water polo. Jordan will graduate Azusa Pacific University this spring with a degree in Graphic Arts.
