(AUSTIN, TX – Nov. 9, 2018) The Texas Bar College congratulates David S. Mallard on his 26 years of membership in the College.
Mallard received his law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1978, was admitted to the Bar on November 6, 1978, and has practiced law since. In 1992, he qualified for and became a member of the Texas Bar College (then called the College of the State Bar of Texas), and has remained a member since by satisfying the annual qualification requirements.
Mallard is presently a Fellow of the Texas Bar College, and continues to follow the precepts of professionalism symbolized by that status, with regard to the practice of law, his service as a municipal judge and his engagements as a professional mediator. Mallard currently offices in both Terrell and Rockwall Counties in Texas and practices primarily in those and contiguous counties. He is a past President of the Rockwall County Bar Association.
The Texas Bar College, the only organization in the United States formed for this purpose, is an honorary society of lawyers, chartered by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1981, to recognize and encourage lawyers who maintain and enhance their professional skills and the quality of their service to the public by completing at least double the required hours of continuing legal education each year. The College also sponsors or otherwise assists in educational activities of significant merit and widespread relevance and applicability to the legal profession.
