Reconstruction Project to Begin February 4 on Summit Ridge / South Lakeshore

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 28, 2019) A project to reconstruct South Lakeshore Drive / Summit Ridge Drive in Rockwall begins on Monday, February 4. This project will include the reconstruction or replacement of roadway, sidewalks, certain alleys, water lines, wastewater lines and storm drainage systems in the area. Please see map for overall project limits.

At times during the construction, sections of South Lakeshore and Summit Ridge will have to be closed, limiting access to only one-lane / one-way traffic. For ease of emergency access, the one-way direction will always be northbound on S. Lakeshore and westbound on Summit Ridge. Drivers are asked to please plan accordingly during the duration of the project.

The first phase of construction will begin on the alley between S. Lakeshore and Village Green Drive, as well as the alley between Summit Ridge and Glenn Avenue. (See map – blue highlighted alleys). Future information on trash collection and parking in these alleys will be made available closer to the start of alley construction. Weather permitting, the project is anticipated to be complete in the spring of 2021.
