(MCLENDON-CHISHOLM, TX – Jan. 23, 2019) William Dahl of McLendon-Chisholm, TX officially filed his candidacy for McLendon-Chisholm City Council Place 5.
William has been a resident of Rockwall County for 10 years and has spent 15 years as a successful small business owner. He is a family man with his wife and three wonderful kids by his side. Dahl’s campaign will focus on his small business background and commonsense approach to bring back a more efficient and effective government.
Dahl’s top three priorities are:
Taxpayer protection:
Keeping taxes low while balancing the budget. The delicate balance of revenue and expenses is the foundation of a successful government.
Transparency and efficiency:
It is very important to communicate transparency between the government’s actions to its citizens.
Balancing “Growth” and “The small town feel”:
Growth is an eventuality in this market, however having a proper plan of growth while respecting the wishes of the people is essential.
“I’m running for City Council because I believe that the citizens of McLendon-Chisholm deserve sincere, transparent and effective local government,” said Dahl. “If elected, I will bring my small business background experience and apply it to the working of city affairs such as protecting taxpayers, improving how our government works, bringing transparency and efficiency and help attract essential core businesses which are much needed amenities such as a grocery store, pharmacy, and urgent care while maintaining the small town feel of living in McLendon-Chisholm.”
