John Hamilton Announces Candidacy for Fate City Council, Place 6

(FATE, TX – Feb. 17, 2019) John Hamilton is a Senior Software Engineer and works for a multinational organization. He also is an adjunct instructor teaching technology for LSU. A veteran of the United States military who served nearly eight years in the United States Air Force, two years in the United Kingdom and the remaining years at the former Carswell, AFB in Fort Worth before being honorably discharged. He has been married to his wife Llona for 7 years. He is a father of six children and a great grandfather to his grandchildren.

Hamilton says that it would be a great honor to serve his community on City Council Place 6. He will do so by listening openly to the concerns of all of the community members with the goal of building a better Fate, one that advances economically and maintains that ‘small town’ feel in its neighborhoods.

He wants to advance the following areas of city governance:

● Taxes – property taxes in particular, small – mid-size business tax revenue
● Town – safety, small town appeal, and the I-30 corridor for small businesses
● Traffic – roads, consumer pathways, trails, and parks

Hamilton received his Associates of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Tarrant County College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Software Engineering from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from Florida Institute of Technology.

He is a technophile that is researching practical uses of AI (Artificial Intelligence) to dabbling in the Internet-Of-Things. Along with his passion for technology, John is an avid sports fan. His favorite sport is football (at all levels high school, collegiate, and the NFL). His favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys.
