(ROCKWALL, TX – Feb. 27, 2019) Rockwall County Ducks Unlimited, a nonprofit organization now in its second year, welcomes both the sportsman and all interested community members to join them for their Spring Banquet from 6 to 9:45 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Big Sky Event Hall in Royse City.
This local Ducks Unlimited chapter for Rockwall County and surrounding areas raises funds to be used both locally and nationally to help in wetlands conservation. The Spring Banquet will feature raffle drawings and live and silent auctions for guns, hunting gear, wine gift baskets, puppies, hunting trips, kids’ gear, and more. There will also be live music and activities for the kids. A BBQ dinner and drinks are included in the cost of admission, as well as a year membership to Ducks Unlimited.
John Nickles with Rockwall County DU emphasizes that this a community party. “This is really an event for anyone and everyone to come and enjoy. I like to tell friends who are interested in coming that the Lab puppies we auction don’t care if they are in a duck blind or on a pontoon boat in the middle of Lake Ray Hubbard, so there is no reason not to attend due to lack of hunting interest.”
