Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office Passes 11th Consecutive Jail Inspection

(ROCKWALL, TX – June 5, 2019) The Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office recently passed a surprise jail inspection from the Texas Commission on Jail Standards — making this the 11th consecutive annual inspection they’ve passed.

“I want to compliment and thank the Detention Staff of the Rockwall County Jail for passing the 11th consecutive inspection and in doing so received a strong compliment from the Inspector of the Texas Commissions on Jail Standards. The Command Staff and Detention Staff work diligently on a consistent basis to keep our facility in compliance,” said Sheriff Harold Eavenson. “As a result, we have minimal problems – and when problems occur, they are handled in a professional manner. In the past year and a half, we have had to deal with a shortage of staff which required more than normal overtime. This situation was handled in a very professional manner by the staff, sometimes under difficult circumstances.”
