Star Wars inspired tiger pool an intergalactic success at In-Sync Exotics in Wylie
(WYLIE, TX – Aug. 22, 2019) A group of tigers, collectively known as The Jedi Boys, finally have their own Millennium Falcon! Better than an intergalactic spaceship, their Falcon is a pool.
Some of you may recall their remarkable rescue stories. Kylo Ren (above), who was born at In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center in Wylie last spring after his mother and father were rescued while she was pregnant. Kenobi (below) was found by border patrol agents early last year when he was trying to be smuggled across the border from Mexico in a duffel bag. Anakin (below) was housed at a facility in Texas who could not care for him.
While we couldn’t make these boys wait any longer in this heat to get their feet wet in the new Millenium Falcon shaped pool, we are now holding an official Grand Opening and you are invited!
We held a friendly competitive fundraiser among supporters to raise money to build the Millennium Falcon, so this Grand Opening is in their honor!
The Jedi Boys, along with the Staff and Board of In-Sync Exotics would like to acknowledge and thank the following people for making this possible: Jane and Ron Morrill, Mike and Judy Quinn, Ruth Mutch, Pam Susslin, Karin Saucedo, Donna Riley, Jean Price, Lisa Bruneau, Chemyn Reaney, Susan Hudnall, and Lloyd and Cynthia McHoes, in memory of their daughter Kristin Ellen McHoes.
Leisure Living Pools did a fantastic job with turning our dream into a reality, and we cannot thank them enough!
There will be plenty of opportunities for excellent photos and video – in addition to photos of the fundraisers with the pool and a Millennium Falcon shaped cake, the highlight of the event will be watching as the Jedi Boys are released into their playground to enjoy toys and enrichment in their intergalactic pool!
As the sanctuary is not open to the public on the day of the event, please call 817-648-1318 ahead of time to gain access and an escort to the pool.
