Rockwall’s Oldest and Only Locally-Owned Bank Announces New Ownership

Lakeside National Bank Leadership Remains Committed to Family-Owned Legacy and Local Values

(ROCKWALL, TX – Sept. 10, 2019) Lakeside National Bank announced its transition of ownership from the family of late Congressman Ralph Hall to the Pratt and Pastora families. The new families officially took ownership on Friday, Sept. 6.

As new owners, the Pratt and Pastora families will continue the Halls’ family-operated tradition of Lakeside National Bank. The families have extensive experience in real estate, large scale construction, investor owned utilities, and banking with both private and public ownership structures.

This new leadership pledges to carry on the community-first legacy and values of Lakeside National Bank, while accelerating growth through expanded banking services for clients and customers.

“I am humbled to continue cultivating the vision and values of Lakeside National Bank that have existed since its founding 45 years ago,” said Paul Haney, incoming President of the bank. “We remain steadfastly committed to building upon our long-term customer relationships and delivering what the community expects from their local, family-owned bank.”

As a longtime Dallas Region resident, Haney is dedicated to the area. He currently serves on the Dallas Zoo Board of Directors and was previously involved with the Nasher Sculpture Center, Junior Achievement of Dallas and the Dallas Chapter of Financial Executives International. In this new role, Haney looks forward to serving the needs of the Rockwall community.

Originally opening in 1974 and located at the intersection of Interstate Highway 30 and Ridge Road, Lakeside National Bank is the oldest and only locally-owned bank in Rockwall County. Haney will work alongside the current President, Lyn McCreary, to build upon the bank’s foundation.

“By continuing the bank’s family-run legacy, this will be a seamless transition of leadership,” said McCreary. “It is a privilege to work with Paul Haney and the Pratt and Pastora families, and I am confident they are the right team to lead Lakeside National Bank into its next phase of growth.”

A full-service institution, Lakeside National Bank offers a full range of depository products and focuses on commercial clients, commercial real estate and personal loan lending. For the immediate future, the bank seeks to provide greater access to the community through improved electronic banking, larger lending limits related to personal and commercial loans, and expanded treasury management services.
