(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 11, 2019) It was a fun Saturday morning at the Rockwall County Library for kids and their families who came to learn about Monarch butterflies during a lively, hands-on event sponsored by the Rockwall County Open Space Alliance last month.
A short presentation about the treasured butterflies explained the uniqueness of the flying beauties because of their migration – a trip that includes Rockwall. Then attendees learned how to make garden pots – the beginning of creating a family garden to help feed the Monarchs as they pass through on their journey.
Kids were also treated to face painting, a fun time provided by the Rockwall-Heath High Student Council.
