(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 1, 2019) In 2017, Team 1296 Full Metal Jackets traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the National Advocacy Conference. While in the nation’s capital, the team had the opportunity to meet with Representative John Ratcliffe. During the meeting, he expressed concern about a projected shortage of 1 million STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) workers by the year 2022. In response, the Full Metal Jackets created an off-season event known as STEM Gals.

City of Rockwall recognized STEM Gals Day (Back Row): Lauren Knoff, Austin Knoff, Josh Sadler, Hannah Cowgill, Christian Garcia, Cathy Knoff; (Front Row) Ryan Highnote, Danna Taylor, Austin Taylor.

On October 12, Full Metal Jackets are proud to host the 2nd annual STEM Gals robotics competition. The Full Metal Jackets invite the community to witness the world of robotics as the leading ladies of robotics will take control of the field!
