Rockwall County Youth Celebrates National 4-H Week, Oct. 6-12

Visit Tractor Supply in Royse City to participate in ‘Clover Campaign’

(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 7, 2019) Millions of youth, parents, volunteers and alumni across the country are celebrating everything 4-H during National 4-H Week, October 6-12, 2019. 4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization that cultivates confident kids who tackle the issues that matter most in their communities. In the United States, 4-H programs empower six million young people through the 110 land-grant universities and Cooperative Extension in more than 3,000 local offices serving every county and parish in the country.

Rockwall County 4-H youth in our community work to make a positive impact on those around them. The theme of this year’s National 4-H Week is Inspire Kids to Do, which highlights how 4-H encourages kids to take part in hands-on learning experiences in areas such as health, science, agriculture and civic engagement. Rockwall County 4-H will celebrate National 4-H Week by wearing their 4-H shirts, exhibiting at the State Fair of Texas, and participating in community events by promoting 4-H, including the Fall 2019 Tractor Supply 4-H Clover Campaign on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Tractor Supply in Royse City.

To contribute to Rockwall County 4-H, visit Tractor Supply in Royse City and purchase a paper clover for $1 or more at checkout and help Rockwall County 4-H support our local program by providing leadership events and camp opportunities to local 4-H’ers. These learning opportunities help 4-H members build the skills that they need to succeed in their life and career. This fall, Tractor Supply stores are continuing their long-standing partnership with 4-H for the 2019 Fall Paper Clover Campaign to make it possible for more youth in the community to experience 4-H’s youth-led, hands-on programming. Since it began in 2010, the partnership between Tractor Supply and 4-H has generated essential funding that directly supports numerous 4-H programs in our county.
