(HEATH, TX — October 3, 2019) Valerie Self is a senior and second year Varsity cheerleader at Rockwall-Heath High School. She has three siblings, Brandon, Ryan, and Lily. Valerie has always had a passion for cheerleading and has been cheering since she was 4 years old. She was a member of the competition teams for Cheer Athletics, Cheer Toxic, and EC Athletics. Valerie also cheered for HHCA second through sixth grade, Cain Middle School, and RHHS. She has won multiple championships including top honor at NCA and also had the opportunity to compete at Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, FL.
Valerie was a member of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) 2018-2019. She has spent time in clinical rotations at area medical facilities in Rockwall. Valerie plans to attend University of North Texas to pursue a career in the medical field.
