(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov. 8, 2019) Now this is something you don’t see every day. But for folks who have encountered Bigfoot, and for those who are curious and want to learn more, the First Annual Metro Bigfoot Potluck Meet and Greet will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Harry Myers Community Center, 815 E. Washington in Rockwall.
Hosted by author Richard Taylor, whose background includes public safety/investigative law enforcement and fire and explosion investigations, the event is expected to draw about 50 or more Squatchers who have experienced encounters with this highly elusive subject, or who find this special interest fascinating. “It is not,” as Rick point outs, “to prove their existence to the highly skeptical public.”
On display there will be an assortment of pictures and videos Rick has obtained during his field research endeavors. With that will be a collection of foot cast impressions obtained by Paul Ragsdale, a B.F.R.O. (Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization) investigator.
“Later that evening, we will gather for a fireside story-telling session where people can group share and tell of their experiences which some people will find hard to believe, but that all changes when it happens to you,” Rick said.
All interested Squatchers whose last name first initial is A-M are requested to bring a main dish and soft drinks. Last names N-Z are asked to bring a side dish or dessert and soft drinks. Ice, water, cups, and utensils will be provided. (Alcohol is not permitted). Bring a lawn chair for outdoor activities.
Rick will also have published copies of his book for sale, “Bigfoot – My Encounters with the Forest People, America’s Last Free Tribe), published by Midnight Owl and available on Amazon here.
“I realize how controversial this subject is with the general public, but that doesn’t change what many of us have experienced out there,” Rick said, adding that he simply loves sharing with interested folks.
