Back in 2011, a shift in the Rockwall County arts scene began as The Sound of Music and Oklahoma! ushered Rockwall Summer Musicals into the community. And now with 18 full-scale “Broadway in your Backyard” musical productions produced, 2020 ushers in the theatre’s tenth anniversary season. A celebration is in order!

This Saturday, January 18, Rockwall Summer Musicals friends and supporters will mix and mingle at Lakeshore Assisted Living & Memory Care (5250 Medical Drive, Rockwall) for a sold-out evening of dining, drinking, and unforgettable live entertainment, hosted by Master of Ceremonies Charles Barry.

Stars of the Rockwall Summer Musicals stage, including Jacob Thomas, Keeli James, Molly Pope, Russell Batchelor, Mindy Bell, Alidor Lefere, Ashley Reeves, Jon Beller, Krysteena Seqovis, Eric Segovis, Kally Duncan, Clayton Sackett, James Williams, and Sutton Moss will perform. Guests will be treated to dinner, with a cash bar, wine pull, and so much more in store.

Following the Tenth Anniversary Celebration, Rockwall Summer Musicals’ 2020 season continues with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat from June 19-June 28, directed and choreographed by Kyle Christopher West and music directed by John Norine Jr. Bye Bye Birdie follows from August 7-August 16, directed by RSM’s Barbara Doudt with music directed by Melissa Williams and choreography by Suzanne Toler. Rockwall Summer Musicals productions appear at Rockwall High School Performing Arts Center at Utley Campus (1201 T L Townsend Drive, Rockwall, TX 75087).
