Rockwall Safe: School closure extended through May 1

(ROCKWALL, TX – March 31, 2020) The Rockwall ISD released the following message today:

Today Governor Greg Abbott ordered all Texas schools to remain closed through Friday, May 1. As a result, Rockwall ISD will extend our school closure through Friday, May 1, aligning with the Governor’s orders. The earliest possible return date for students and staff will be Monday, May 4. We will continue our Online Campus Learning and provide Grab ‘n Go meals at Dobbs Elementary School, Rochell Elementary School, and Jones Elementary School during this time.

The ongoing changes are a challenge for everyone and we appreciate all efforts that help prevent the spread of the coronavirus which causes COVID-19. We will continue to notify you if the county and/or state issues any further mandates impacting our schools. Please stay safe and healthy during this time. Rockwall ISD misses your child and we look forward to the return of students to our schools.
