Royse City ISD extends Spring Break to help prevent spread of Coronavirus

Royse City ISD sent the following message to RCISD families today:

(ROYSE CITY, TX – March 12, 2020) Out of an abundance of caution, Royse City ISD will extend Spring Break one extra week to minimize the potential spread of COVID-19. Beginning Friday, March 13, no extracurricular or UIL activities will take place until further notice. This extended break allows officials more time to assess the situation. These precautionary measures were made with student and staff safety in mind.

At this time, we are planning for students to return on Monday, March 23. We understand that this decision will directly impact students and staff and we thank you for your support.

Many more details will be released in the coming days. The safety of students and staff is our highest priority. We will continue to work to keep you updated on our website at www.rcisd.org/flu as well as our normal communication tools.

Our print edition is delivered free to ~15,500 homes in Rockwall and Heath, TX.
