Senior Spotlight: Layton Ray, Rockwall-Heath High School

Senior Spotlight: Layton Ray, Rockwall-Heath High School

(ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX – March 30, 2020) Senior Layton Ray of Rockwall-Heath High School is a member of Gene Burton College and Career Academy.

Layton was a member of the 2019 National Champion ProStart Culinary team.  Unfortunately the State and National competitions had to be cancelled this year due to the Corona virus so they were unable to defend their title.  They did score the highest out of both regional competitions this Spring before the virus shut everything down.

This fall he will start attending Sullivan University in Louisville KY for a Culinary Arts degree.  After that he will attend Johnson & Wells University in Charlotte NC for a Hospitality Management degree.
