RCOEM Update: 47 Total Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Rockwall County

(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – 6PM, April 20, 2020) Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management has received confirmation from the Department of State Health Service about three additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Rockwall County.

There was a case in Rockwall, Heath, and Royse City. Two cases were in their 60’s and one was in their 40’s.

DSHS has also provided a chart showing the percentage of cases that have been travel-related and community spread that that has been added to the graphic.

When Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management asked DSHS for an updated number of persons under monitoring DSHS told us they are no longer conducting monitoring calls to people who have come into contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. DSHS is providing these people information on how to self-monitor and instructing them to isolate themselves at home. Because of this RCOEM has removed the Persons Under Monitoring from our graphics.
