
(ROCKWALL, TX – April 20, 2020) Landon Gibson, a senior at Rockwall High school, will be attending Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri pursuing a degree in Business Management. He will be playing football for the Bearcats.

Landon started playing RHS varsity football after being called up during his sophomore year. He received 3rd Team All-District his junior year playing as right guard. During his senior year Landon was the starting center. He received 2nd Team All-District Team. He also received Honorable Mention to the All-State academic team and Honorable Mention for the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 6A all-state football team. Landon finished out the season with 92 percent for the season with 42 pancakes and did not allow a sack.

While playing football for Rockwall High School, Landon was very active in Young Men’s Service League. His senior year he was the Leadership Chair. He worked with various philanthropies, such as Special Olympics, Arms of Hope, Meals on Wheels, Boys and Girls Club, Dallas Life, and Helping Hands just to name a few.

During Landon’s entire high school, he also worked for Chandlers Landing on the weekend and had a very busy summer working various jobs for people around Rockwall.
