Senior Spotlight: Lauren Skinner, Royse City High School

Lauren Skinner is a senior at Royse City High School.  She is a four-year starter for the varsity softball team, a member of the National Honor Society and participates in PALS.  She will graduate in the top three percent of her class all while earning her associates degree from Paris Jr College.  Lauren was recognized as an RCHS 2020 Top Dog which is an honor awarded to students who were nominated based on their achievements in academics, community service and leadership.

Outside of school Lauren spends her time as an assistant coach for a 14U travel softball team.  She spends her summers playing softball for Texas Blaze NTX 18U Gold and volunteers as a leader for VBS and EPIC church camp through Lake Pointe Church.

Lauren has been awarded an academic and athletic (softball) scholarship to McPherson College in Kansas where she will major in mathematics with a focus on actuarial science.
