Rockwall ISD announces graduation ceremony plans at new Globe Life Field

(ROCKWALL ISD – May 9, 2020) Rockwall ISD Class of 2020, you are important! It’s time to honor and celebrate you with a graduation ceremony that matches your caliber of excellence!

Thank you for your patience during this time of change. On Tuesday, May 4, 2020, Texas Education Agency announced graduation ceremony guidance for Texas school systems. As part of Governor Greg Abbott’s Strike Force to Open Texas, TEA approved and released outdoor in-person graduation ceremony guidelines. Following the guidelines set by the Texas Education Agency, including the limitation of guests per graduate, we are finalizing plans for our RHS and RHHS outdoor high school graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020 at the new Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers! We look forward to announcing more ceremony details as we move closer to graduation.

Also, participation by a student in the graduation ceremony is voluntary and we have an alternative, individual type graduation plan to recognize any requesting senior. More information is coming soon.

We also want to remind everyone that Texas Education Agency permission is subject to change as underlying public health conditions may change.
