Go Blue For Kids Gala: A Virtual Success
The entire month of April was dedicated as ‘Go Blue For Kids’ Month, in which local businesses and organizations across Rockwall County offered up ‘Go Blue’ promotions to raise awareness and funds for the CAC’s mission. Unfortunately, the pandemic prevented many of these promotional events from happening as planned within the restaurants and stores, but the community continued to show its support by participating online. Among the businesses that offered promotions were Along Came Tamale; Baylor, Scott & White; The Bagel Lady; Cycle Bar; Extreme Salads; Kroger; Lisa Reed Floral Design; Lyons Heat & A/C; Main Street Emporium; Rock On Nutrition; and Samee’s Pizza Getti. Stay tuned; a host of other businesses plan to offer ‘Go Blue’ promotions once fully opened from the pandemic!
The Go Blue for Kids Gala, sponsored by Texas Health Hospital Rockwall and originally set for April 25 at the Hilton Dallas Rockwall Lakefront, was turned into a virtual event due to the cornavirus shutdowns – and it yielded amazing results!
The gala fundraiser included an online auction, yard sign sales and memberships into the CAC’s Guardian Angel Society. The keynote speaker was Jenna Quinn, a Child Abuse Prevention Advocate, Speaker and Activist and author of Jenna’s Law.
The CAC wishes to thank Title Sponsor Texas Health Hospital Rockwall, Triple Creek Red Angus, OnCor, Baylor, Scott & White, Blue Ribbon News, Williamson Foundation Repair, Soroptimists International of Rockwall, Alliance Bank, Friends of CAC, Juvanew MedSpa, Lake Pointe Orthopaedics, Rockwall Gymnastics Academy, Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office, Willis Fine Jewelry, Atmos, Fair Texas Title, and Farmers Insurance-Brady Z. Hill for their sponsorship. They also wish to recognize the event Underwriters: Toyota of Rockwall, Mansions on the Lake, Wendi Conley, Town Square Mortgage, Greenville Hyundai / Nissan of Greenville, My Computer Guy, and OnPointe Properties.
Thanks to Guardian Angels
