Official COVID-19 Update from Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management (6/23/2020)

From the Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management: 

(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – June 23, 2020) RCOEM has not received any reports from the Texas Department of State Health Services Office with updated COVID case information. RCOEM will continue to post updated information as soon as we receive a report from the epidemiologists at DSHS. Today we updated our graphic with the suspected people who have reported to the hospital (This is from the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council) and the number of tests that have been reported in the county (This is from the DSHS COVID-19 ArcGIS Tool https://txdshs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html…).

Testing Site Update:

The State Mobile Testing Site will be at Lakepointe Church tomorrow from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. There is no charge to be tested, but you do have to make an appointment. You can make an appointment by clicking this link https://txcovidtest.org/ or calling 512-883-2400.

State Update:

Governor Abbott said in a press conference yesterday, COVID cases are rising at an unacceptable rate. The Governor says Texans need to do these six things to slow the rate.

Stay home when possible, Wear a face covering in public, Stay 6 feet apart from others, Wash your hands often, If sick get tested then stay home, Clean your surroundings, Cover coughs and sneezes, Don’t touch your face
