Official COVID-19 Update from Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management (6/29/2020)

From the Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management

ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – June 29, 2020 – We have two more confirmed cases today from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). Both cases are in the City of Rockwall. One person is in their 70’s, and one person is in their 50’s.

31 people are currently in Rockwall County Hospitals with confirmed COVID-19.

Royse City Medical Lodge Update:

Royse City Medical Lodge has directly reported two additional positive cases to the County. They now have 12 total cases: 9 residents (3 recovered) 3 staff (1 recovered).

Last week Rockwall County started receiving more detailed information from DSHS. We are still working to make this data reliable and error-free. Several instances have occurred in the data where cases outside of Rockwall County were reported in the Rockwall County case count. We are working to correct these outliers. This will not change the case counts dramatically. However, it is why you may see some case counts fluctuate or even drop in the next few days as we work with DSHS to fine-tune the reports we receive. We will not update the graphic today to allow us a bit more time to report accurate information to our citizens.
