From the Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management
(ROCKWALL, TX – June 4, 2020) We have received four confirmed cases of COVID-19 from DSHS. All four cases are in the City of Rockwall. One person is in their 30’s. Two people are in their 40’s. One person is in their 60’s.
We regret to inform you that an additional fatality has occurred in Broadmoor. There have been 67 COVID-19 cases, 42 residents (21 recovered), 25 staff (21 recovered), and 14 fatalities reported to Rockwall County by Broadmoor.
In Rockwall County, there have been 194 confirmed cases, 14 confirmed deaths, 171 reported recoveries, 3337 conducted tests reported. Two persons reported to Rockwall Couny hospitals suspected of having COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
State Update
Governor Abbott has announced we are in phase 3 of reopening.
Effective June 3:
All businesses currently operating at 25% capacity can expand their occupancy to 50% with certain exceptions.
Bars and similar establishments may increase their capacity to 50% as long as patrons are seated.
Amusement parks and carnivals in counties with less than 1,000 confirmed positive cases may open at 50% capacity.
Restaurants may expand their maximum table size from 6 to 10 persons.
Effective June 12:
Restaurants may expand their occupancy levels to 75%.
Counties with 10 or less active COVID-19 cases may expand their occupancy limits to 75%. Counties that fit this category but have not previously filed an attestation with DSHS will need to do so.
Effective June 19:
Amusement parks and carnivals in counties with more than 1,000 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 may open at 50% capacity.
