ROWLETT, TX – June 8, 2020 – The City of Rowlett announced on Facebook that the Rowlett downtown water tower will be lit in crimson and gold tonight (Monday, June 8) in remembrance of George Floyd.
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has asked cities nationwide to take part in this remembrance of Mr. Floyd, a graduate of Jack Yates High School in Houston whose colors are crimson and gold. Mr. Floyd’s final interment will be in Houston tomorrow.
Our print edition is delivered free to ~15,500 homes in Rockwall and Heath, TX.
