VIP preview of RetroCade, Rockwall County’s first dedicated barcade

Grand Opening Friday, June 12

(ROWLETT, TX – June 10, 2020) This evening, Blue Ribbon News was excited to be among a limited number of guests invited to a VIP Preview of RetroCade, Rockwall County’s first dedicated bar space arcade. Located at 6320 Dalrock Road in Rowlett (Suite 100, behind Whataburger, next to Chiloso), RetroCade will officially open its doors to the public at 3 p.m. Friday, June 12.

All ages are welcome, though it’s strictly 21+ after 9 p.m., daily. RetroCade’s huge arcade collection features favorites from the 80’s and 90’s, including Galaga (Richard got second highest score during our visit – 44,500!), Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Centipede, and Sinistar – not to mention pinball machines, racers and basketball.

There’s a large selection of beer, wine, and cider for the adults – as well as soda, energy drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages. The kitchen serves up hot snacks to keep players fueled up for hours of amusement.

Admission is $10 for ages 6 and up, and is good for the entire day, unlimited play.

In accordance with government guidelines, RetroCade is currently limiting capacity to 50% of their maximum, so a total of 48 guests can be inside at once. When capacity is reached, a line will form outside the door and guests will be let in as other guests leave.  Staff members regularly clean and sanitize all play surfaces, have hand sanitizer readily available, and encourage all guests to exercise appropriate social distancing and wear masks when not eating or drinking.
