With latest win, Rockwall six-year-old becomes fastest Kid Kart racer in Texas

(ROCKWALL, TX – June 29, 2020) When Royce Vega of Rockwall enters first grade at Heritage Christian Academy this fall, he’ll have some great stories to share about his summer adventures.

Royce just earned his first state Kid Kart win on the Texas Racing Sprint Series at Speedsportz in Houston. His mom, Danielle Vega, explains that this victory currently makes him the fastest Kid Kart racer in Texas at only six years of age.

“The track is .08 of a mile with top speeds of 42 miles per hour, and his best lap was 1.17.009,” she said.

Royce has competed in over 20 races and is a promising, rising favorite in his class to compete in national level events. He practices at his home track, Dallas Karting Complex in Caddo Mills and has been racing since October 2019. He is sponsored by Hacienda Car Wash and his family – Danielle and Marco Vega and his sister Brooklyn – and his coaches/mentors Mike Jones, Jeff Mitchel and Alan and Gabby Seldon.

Those wishing to following and support Rockwall’s local racer may do so on Facebook at Royce Vega Kart Racing.
