Participating restaurants revealed on ‘Reservation Day’ Aug 4
Dine-In & Take-Out Options From Preview Weekend Aug 28 Thru Sept 27
Dallas | Fort Worth – July 20, 2020 – Get your appetite ready for North Texas’ largest annual culinary event, supporting local restaurants and charity partners the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and Lena Pope at a time when they need it most! DFW Restaurant Week presented by Your Metroplex Cadillac Dealers, is returning for its 23rd year, with both dine-in and take-out options, plus an adjusted donation structure designed to help diners make a big impact in our community in the midst of COVID-19 recovery.
DELICIOUS DETAILS
DFW Restaurant Week 2020 officially kicks off the week of Aug. 31–Sept 6, with most restaurants extending participation for additional weeks, through Sept. 27. Select restaurants will also offer a head start on dining with Preview Weekend, Aug. 28-30. The official list of participating restaurants will be revealed when reservations open on Reservation Day, Aug. 4.
This year’s campaign features dine-in and new take-out options for three course prix fixe dinners for either $39 or $49, and two-course lunches for just $19. Diners can get a free additional course with a FedEx Office | DFW Restaurant Week Fourth Course Certificate. For each meal purchased during the campaign, 10 percent will be donated to NTFB (Dallas, Collin and Denton counties) or Lena Pope (Tarrant County). Restaurants will adhere to the current safety guidelines.
Although NTFB and Lena Pope have been hit with unprecedented demand and financial impacts during this challenging time, the longtime DFW Restaurant Week charity beneficiaries are giving back by taking a smaller donation — 10 percent vs. previous 20 percent — in order to better help participating restaurants that have loyally supported their missions over the years. Diners will be encouraged to make additional donations to these
beloved charities if they are able to do so.
“DFW Restaurant Week is our largest annual fundraiser, thanks in large part to the restaurants who faithfully participate each year. Now, we are calling on the community to in turn also support these important local businesses,” said NTFB President & CEO Trisha Cunningham. “This year, diners are doubling the good by backing their favorite restaurants along with our mission at a time when we need it most. Every dollar donated to NTFB from your meal provides another three meals for hungry North Texans.”
DFW Restaurant Week 2020 Serves Up Extra Support for Local Restaurants During COVID-19 Recovery Added Lena Pope CEO Ashley Elgin, Ph.D., “Dine out or take out during DFW Restaurant Week – either way, it’s a delicious way to give back. Every meal supports local business and our programs for children and families here in Tarrant County!”
