Volunteers requested for Fair Park Volunteer Day Sept. 12

DALLAS – Fair Park First and Spectra, the public-private partnership charged with managing Fair Park, is hosting Fair Park Volunteer Day on Saturday, September 12 from 8 a.m. until noon at Fair Park. People interested in participating in this family-friendly volunteer opportunity can sign up online at www.fairpark.org/volunteer.

A lot goes into maintaining and enhancing the crown jewel of Dallas! However, due to the impact of COVID-19 Fair Park has experienced increased community usage, despite an unprecedented reduction in critical revenue-generating events. In order to provide for this increased use, volunteers are needed to keep the Park looking clean and beautiful. With 277 acres to take care of, there’s much to do!

Together we can continue to properly care for Fair Park, which means so much to so many.

To ensure volunteer safety, we will limit the number of volunteers and separate volunteer groups into socially-distanced clusters to avoid large gatherings or crowding. Volunteers will be provided with masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer, as well as bottled water and refreshments.

To get involved, register online at www.fairpark.org/volunteer. Parties interested in bringing corporate, civic, or school groups to Fair Park for a day in the Park should contact us at info@fairparkfirst.org to explore customizable volunteer opportunities. Projects can be tailored to the size, skills, and age range of any group.
