ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – September 17, 2020) The Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management has shared that RCH Water Supply Corporation has rescinded their boil water notice effective immediately for High Point Ranch and High Point Lake Estates. These subdivisions are located on FM 548 in Rockwall County. Boil water notice is now rescinded for all RCH Water Supply customers.
From the RCH Water website:
Dear RCH Water Supply Customer,
I know this has been a very frustrating and trying time for you as an RCH WSC customer, and for that we apologize. Please know that RCH WSC has been working through the issues to resolve the water problem and we want to keep you posted on the latest information concerning correcting the issues. At this time, we are securing easements for a 12” water line from Pullen Road to Sonoma Verde. Also, we will be laying a new 12” line from League Road to FM 548.
The contracts to install these new lines are now scheduled to be released as soon as all easements are secured. RCH WSC has also secured property at League and Edwards for an elevated storage tank. Engineering for this facility is underway.
The boil notice has now been rescinded for all customers. This notice was sent to all of our customers as a precaution since the water pressure was down in certain areas of High Point Ranch. From January 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020, RCH WSC pumped 142,400,000 gallons of water which is 791,111 gallons per day. From July 1, 2020 through August 30, 2020 (2month period) RCH WSC pumped an average of 2,085,000 gallons per day. The only possible reason for the 263% increase is landscape irrigation.
You can rest assured we are taking this seriously and are taking the appropriate steps to provide you with a safe and reliable source of water. RCH WSC is not presently working with any developers on any new projects. We are working to provide water to our current customers.
For the time being, please discontinue any unnecessary outside watering so everyone can have plenty of water for their indoor household use. We appreciate your patience and look forward to better times ahead. We will keep you updated on these projects and information at rchwater.com.
Sincerely,
RCH Water Supply Corporation
