ROCKWALL, TX (Oct. 6, 2020) Early Voting Early voting begins Tuesday, October 13 and runs through Friday, October 30. Registered voters may cast ballots at any of Rockwall County’s four early voting locations: Rockwall County Library, Heath City Hall, Royse City City Hall, Fate City Hall.
Early voting in Rockwall County consists of 140 total hours, on sixteen days, spread across three weeks at four county locations, including one Saturday (Oct. 24) and one Sunday (Oct. 25).
Election Day
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, registered voters who have not voted early may only cast ballots at their assigned election day precinct polling location. Nov. 3 Election Day Schedule with Precinct Voting Locations is linked here.

In addition to the typical November General Election contests (President, congress, state offices, judicial races, county offices, etc.) this year’s election includes several races for mayor and/or city council (Rowlett, Fate, and McLendon-Chisholm) as well as both school districts’ trustee elections (Rockwall ISD and Royse City ISD). Ballot by Mail Info
Deadline to request a ballot by mail is Friday, Oct. 23. To qualify for a ballot by mail, a voter must meet one of the following four requirements:
(1) Be 65 years or older,
(2) be disabled,
(3) be out of the county on election day and during Early Voting or
(4) be confined in jail, but otherwise eligible to vote.

No Straight Ticket Voting
This is the first general election since the option to vote straight party was eliminated. In other words, to vote for all candidates of a given party a voter must select their preferred candidate in each individual contest.
Registered Voters and Turnout
There are over 70,000 registered voters in Rockwall County, and record turnout is expected. In the 2016 general election, nearly 40,000 Rockwall County residents cast ballots.
