ROCKWALL, TX – Nov. 6, 2020 – This is C.B. Perdue in the white truck, a World War II and Korean War veteran, former POW and USAF hero. He was a B17 gunner who was shot down over Germany in 1945. His story is one of bravery courage, and patriotism.
C.B. was among several local veterans and their spouses who were honored yesterday with a free, drive-through breakfast at Rest Haven Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Rockwall.
Rest Haven hosts a Veterans Day tribute each year, but this year things looked a little different with COVID-19. To help ensure everyone’s safety, the usual sit-down event was presented as a drive-thru. The Whataburger breakfast was a big hit!
