Big cats at In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue in Wylie receive dental care

WYLIE, TX – Feb. 3, 2021 – Members of the Peter Emily International Dental Foundation spent a long day on January 30th providing needed check-ups and dental work to four big cats at In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center in Wylie.  Diablo, Pepsi, Jafar, and Whistler all received the very best of dental care.

Dental care is part of a lifetime commitment of health to all of In-Sync’s animals, and In-Sync is grateful for the members of the Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation who came to perform a few check-ups and procedures on the cats.

In these pictures, you can see Pepsi the tiger in the dentist’s chair. He was back home with his sisters later the same day after a few hours of recovery in our on-site vet clinic.

It takes an amazing team of highly skilled people to look after the cats. In-Sync is incredibly grateful for the dedicated staff and volunteers, and of course, the dentists who came to In-Sync to provide their skills and knowledge to work on the cats.

The dentists, veterinarians, and technicians of PEIVDF come from all over the United States and volunteer their time and supplies to provide dental care to animals in sanctuaries who would not have access to expensive dental care otherwise. The foundation, established in 2008, has participated in 97 missions and provided dental care to 502 exotic animals.

In-Sync Exotics, a non-profit organization established in 2000, is dedicated to the rescue of neglected, abused, and unwanted exotic felines. American Sanctuary Association accredited, Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries verified, and a member of Tigers in America, In-Sync Exotics provides the highest quality care for the 71 exotic animals that reside at the sanctuary.
