ROCKWALL, TX – February 26, 2021 — Jack Barry Cowley, age 76, and long-time resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away on January 25, 2021. He was born January 12, 1945, in Hillsboro, TX, to Jack Barry Cowley and Harriett Ann (Allen) Cowley. Jack received his undergraduate degree from UT Austin and his law degree from Texas Tech. He had his own law office in Dallas, Law Offices of Jack B. Cowley for over 50 years. He specialized in legal and medical malpractice, and product liability. Jack also taught law classes at SMU. He enjoyed concerts, traveling, cooking, snow skiing, college football but most of all he loved his time at the beach. He loved his golden retriever dogs. Jack especially enjoyed spending time with his six girls and grandchildren. His presence will be deeply missed.

Jack is survived by his daughters: Jill Jenkins and husband Patrick of Royse City, TX, Joey Grand-Lienard and husband Ed of Heath, TX, Jana Cowley of Rockwall, TX, Jami Rollins and husband Robby of Rockwall, TX, Katy James of Boston, MA, and Caroline Rowan and husband Regan of Dobbs Ferry, NY; Eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; cousin: Laura Bushman; and mothers of his children: Candace Florence Sturch, and Kimberlea Rea. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Harriett Cowley; his beloved stepfather: Joe Cowley; and granddaughter: Jackelyn Cowley Grand-Lienard.

A celebration of Jack’s life was held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location.
