ROCKWALL, TX – February 20, 2021 – Women in Need, Inc., a local nonprofit which provides refuge, empowerment and restoration to families affected by domestic violence in Hunt, Rains, and Rockwall counties, raised over $30,000 at its 8th Annual Chocolate Indulgence fundraising event, held virtually over Valentine’s weekend.

“These generous sponsorship funds will allow WIN to continue our essential programming as we endeavor to fulfill our mission of keeping broken apart, hurting families and their children safe,” said Connie Pettitt, who retired as WIN’s Executive Director after the event. Jeff Landers, who has served as WIN’s Education Specialist for the past two years, assumed the leadership position.

“Our partners and supporters came in for us big time once again. Our 8th annual Chocolate Indulgence fundraiser was a huge success. A huge thank you to all of you who were involved!” they wrote on their Facebook page.
