Rockwall Mayor Jim Pruitt rescinds disaster declaration

ROCKWALL, TX – February 22, 2021 – On February 17, 2021, Under the provisions of Chapter 418 of the Texas Government Code, I declared a local state of disaster in the City of Rockwall, Texas ordering all public buildings, business, and governmental buildings within the City limits to extinguish all outside lighting and signage when such businesses are closed.

IT IS ORDERED that this declaration issued on February 17, 2021 is RESCINDED. Thank you to all businesses and governmental organizations for compliance with this order and doing your part to conserve electricity and get through this unprecedented winter storm event.
