Best of the Best: Rockwall Stingerettes win big at Showtime International Dance Competition

ROCKWALL, TX – March 12, 2021 – The Rockwall High School Stingerettes Varsity Drill Team, the Showstoppers Elite Team and Officers competed at the Showtime International dance competition February 27 in Mansfield.  The team entered in the Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip-Hop categories where they won first place in all three!

The Showstoppers Elite team entered in Open, Contemporary, and Pom where they also took home first place in all three categories.

The Officers entered in Jazz, Contemporary, Open, and Modern where they also took home first place in all four categories.

The RDI and JVI’s, who work with the middle schools and JV program, took a large ensemble routine which also won first place in all the ensembles entered.

The Team, Showstoppers, and Officers were also awarded Best Precision, Polish, and Performance on every single routine entered. In the 6A Large team division, the Stingerettes won Grand Champions in all three teams-Grand Champion Officers, Elite, and Team.

At the very end of the contest, they announce the Best of the Best award-meaning regardless of your division-the top winners from all divisions get compared to name the Best of the Best High Score of the day.  The Rockwall Stingerettes took them both, Best of the Best Team and Best of the Best Officers!

In the solo division, Jayme Smith won first place with her solo while Samantha Bramlett, Peyton Collier, Meleah Davis, Chaney Moore and Brynn Morrison were all named solo finalists.

Congratulations to all the Rockwall High School Stingerettes on a fantastic first contest!
