Russell Ratterree announces candidacy for Royse City City Council, Place 2

ROYSE CITY, TX – March 17, 2021 – Russell Ratterree has announced his run for Royse City Council, Place 2, sharing this message with the Royse City community:

To put it simply, I love where I live. My wife Jessica and I moved to Royse City in 2015 as we were beginning our real estate careers after serving as public school teachers for over a decade.  We decided to move to Royse City for the great schools and the small, hometown feel in which we wanted to raise our family.

My passion for education led me to find ways to serve in our schools and community. Pre-Covid19, I enjoyed being actively involved on my kid’s campuses in the All-Pro Dad’s Chapters and volunteering in their schools.

I have also served on the RCISD Community Advisory Council and currently serve on the Executive Board of Directors of the RCISD Education Foundation, which has awarded nearly $1 Million in funds to our teachers and students through grants and creative learning initiatives. I am actively involved at the city level as well. I stay informed by reading minutes, regularly attending city council meetings, and visiting other board meetings regularly. I currently serve on the Heritage Preservation Committee and the Zoning Board of Adjustments for Royse City. As a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce, I’m proud to support our thriving local business community. Professionally, I serve on the Associate Leadership Council for Keller Williams-Rockwall.

Our family attends and serves at Lake Pointe Church and we enjoy riding trails on bikes, game and movie nights, and attending our community events with our adopted greyhounds.

Royse City is in an unprecedented time of growth and we have an extremely bright future ahead of us. I am proud to run for Royse City City Council Place 2 and I will always work hard to be a positive voice for the people of Royse City.  We will continue to plan and strategize for the growth and development that we are facing now and in the years to come, in a fiscally responsible manner. I will continue to support and strengthen our thriving small business community, and ultimately, I want to help to make Royse City a destination location where people love to live, work, and call home. I ask for your support in the upcoming May 1st election.

Early voting takes place from April 19-27. You can follow me on Facebook @RussellforPlace2 for more information and updates.  Please reach out to me if you have any questions or feedback about the future of our great community.
