Then and Now: New aerial photo of City of Rockwall unveiled at historic courthouse

ROCKWALL, TX – March 9, 2021 – The Rockwall County Historical Commission today unveiled an aerial photo of the City of Rockwall. County commissioners and members of the RCHC gathered in the basement of the Historic County Courthouse, where the new photo is on display next to a similar aerial photo taken 50 years ago.

“The Rockwall County Historical Commission is excited to unveil this new aerial photo of the City of Rockwall, taken 50 years after the photo that was donated by Raymond Cameron in 1970, and has hung in the County Historical Courthouse since then. I think this display will give all visitors to the Historical Courthouse an interesting perspective of Rockwall’s growth over the past 50 years,” said Lorne Liechty, Chairman of the RCHC.
