Rockwall Farmers Market returns to Downtown Square May 1

ROCKWALL, TX – April 17, 2021 – The Rockwall Farmers Market will begin its season on schedule this year beginning Saturday, May 1, 2021 with extended hours (opening day only) through 2 p.m. on the Downtown Square.  The market will then continue to run every Saturday through September 25 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Rockwall Farmers Market will be adhering to CDC guidelines for mass gatherings.

LISTED AS ONE OF THE “BEST FARMERS MARKETS” IN THE DALLAS AREA

Rockwall Farmers Market was established in 2008 by the Friends of Downtown Rockwall and has been a Saturday morning staple! The market is run by all volunteers, with assistance from the City of Rockwall and Rockwall County, it has grown to over 30 vendors. It has become one of the area’s most popular destinations for locals to purchase fresh produce and specialty foods such as grass-fed meats, fresh baked artisans breads, farm eggs, seafood, honey, jams, pasta, tamales to name just a few.

They also feature local talent that provides live music every market day. The market is dog and pet friendly.

MISSION

The vision for the Rockwall Farmers Market concept is an effort to establish a link between farmers and consumers. To offer the community high quality agricultural goods from local growers and ranchers, as well as provide gourmet artisan foods. It is where the agrarian community can connect with the urban community in a safe, fun environment.
