Rockwall Habitat for Humanity schedules new home groundbreaking

ROCKWALL, TX (April 29, 2021) Rockwall Habitat for Humanity, Inc. will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8 at the site of their next Habitat for Humanity home, 305 Blanche in Rockwall.

Rockwall Habitat for Humanity, Inc. has a 30-year legacy of partnering with families and individuals who live or work in Rockwall County to construct affordable housing.  This home will be constructed in partnership with the Wesley family. Habitat homeowners pay an affordable mortgage, receive financial education, and help build their homes alongside volunteers.

Rockwall Habitat for Humanity, Inc. was founded April 3, 1991 with a mission to put God’s love into action through partnering with qualified families to help them create a better habitation in which to work and live through cooperation with other charitable organizations, grants, donors, and volunteers.  In its 30-year history of partnering with families and individuals, over 30 families’ dreams of homeownership have been realized and their quality of life elevated. A decent home provides the strength, stability, and independence that families need to thrive.  Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
