Heath DPS graduates inaugural class of Citizens of Patrol (COP)

HEATH, TX (May 26, 2021) The first-ever Heath Citizens On Patrol (COP) class celebrated graduation Monday night at the Heath Department of Public Safety.

The inaugural Heath Citizens On Patrol graduates and City leaders from left are: Mayor Kelson Elam; Heath DPS Captain Morgan; Sherry Gillespie; City Councilwoman Donna Rolater; Jaclyn England; Tony Rolater; Ernie Burkett; Marco Longoria; Carl Whitbeck; and Heath DPS Chief Brandon Seery.

The graduates qualified for the new advanced training program by graduating with the 3rd Class of the Heath DPS Citizens Academy in Spring 2020.

Upon completion of the 6-week COP program, these citizen volunteers will now assist Heath DPS in many important ways including traffic control and safety during city events and other departmental and community outreach activities.
