Rockwall-Heath grad elected Student Body President of Stanford University

ROCKWALL, TX (May 14, 2021) On May 3rd, Rockwall-Heath’s Christian Giadolor ’21 M.A. ’22 was elected executive president of Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU) , its student government.

Running on the slate L.E.A.D. (love, empathy, advocacy, direction) Stanford, Giadolor and his running mate, Cricket Bidleman earned 90.73% of the vote, with the rest going to voters’ write-in options. The L.E.A.D. Stanford slate ran unopposed in the general election.

In 2020, Giadolor was the ASSU Elections Commissioner, presiding over Stanford’s first virtual election.  Afterwards, he helped craft reforms to the organization’s constitution and reported to the CEO of the association’s student-run business division to work on organizational strategy. The core elements of their campaign included promoting community building, bridging the gap between undergraduate and graduate populations, and mentoring the next generation of ASSU leaders. Giadolor is the first ASSU executive elected from Texas since at least 2014.
