Winning design will be featured on the official 2021 Turkey Trot T-shirt

DALLAS (June 18, 2021) – One of the questions the Dallas YMCA gets every year is what the famous Turkey Trot t-shirt will look like. This year, the Dallas Y is giving you the chance to submit your best designs! The YMCA is bringing back its popular contest that asks the public to submit t-shirt designs, with the winning design featured on the famous 2021 Turkey Trot shirt. Whether you’re a professional graphic designer, a person who likes to dabble in drawing, or a talented child or teen, the contest is open to all ages.

Artwork must be submitted by 11:59pm on June 30, 2021. A group of finalists will then be chosen for public consideration, with the general public able to vote online for their favorite design from July 5 – July 25. To learn more and submit your design, visit www.thetrot.org.

“The Turkey Trot t-shirt is always one of the items people look the most forward to receiving for the event. We’re excited to feature the design of a North Texas designer on the shirts this year,” said Curt Hazelbaker, President and CEO, YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. “The 2021 race will be in person this year, with virtual options available to those who would prefer to race at home. We’re looking forward to being together again for this annual Thanksgiving Day tradition.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot which supports YMCA programs that empower people and strengthen our Dallas communities. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y nurtures the potential of North Texas youth & teens, improves our area’s health and well-being, and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors. Thanks to our longtime sponsor and partner Luke’s Locker and supporting sponsors Downtown Dallas Inc., Gainsco Auto Insurance and Homelight. Learn about sponsorship opportunities at www.thetrot.org.
