Jennifer Fogg announces candidacy for Rockwall County Clerk

ROCKWALL, TX (August 4, 2021) I am announcing today my candidacy for Rockwall County Clerk.

I am running for Rockwall County Clerk because I am certain that my extensive background in the Rockwall County Clerk’s Office makes me the best choice for the wonderful citizens of Rockwall County. I am a proven leader with an outstanding record of exceeding goals based on my firm commitment to serve the residents of Rockwall County.

My level of determination and commitment is evident through my success in implementing cost-effective operations, enabling increased access to public information, providing exceptional customer service, and continuing to ensure proper preservation of all records. I’ve built strong relationships with local and state officials to ensure that we support one another by sharing common goals. I’m truly honored to get to serve in this supportive and encouraging county for citizens who are determined to make a positive impact.

I have been employed by Rockwall County since September 29, 2009, starting as Deputy Clerk, then Senior Clerk, Chief Deputy Clerk and now in my current appointed position as your Rockwall County Clerk effective January 1, 2021. I believe my greatest strength is a gift for successful management, where I have achieved my most significant wins as a dependable, committed, fair and loyal manager. I have played a significant role in managing the County Clerk’s Office for the past several years, and I am enthusiastic about this opportunity because I am prepared to continue to streamline work processes in the Rockwall County Clerk’s Office.

With over a decade of experience in the Rockwall County Clerk’s Office, I have consistently exceeded both the goals put before me and those I’ve taken on myself and have a firm commitment to the citizens of Rockwall County. As your County Clerk, I show my natural leadership style as I lead by example – never shying away from the job at hand.  I am a hardworking, results-driven team player with a dedication to ongoing professional development that keeps me motivated and challenged to always be better. If I am elected, one of my priorities will be to implement a Property Fraud Alert service which alerts subscribers of the possibilities of fraudulent activity being committed against their personal mortgage or property in Rockwall County.

Here is a brief summary of a few of my accomplishments:

  • Review and update the County Clerk Fee Schedules in order to remain in compliance local and state laws every two years or as required.
  • Review and update applicable updated and/or new local and state legislation to insure compliance every two years or as required.
  • Implemented Civil, Probate & Criminal e-filing which is a statewide electronic filing system that benefits all participants in the court system.
  • Implemented the Texas Electronic Vital Events Registrar (TxEVER) which is a fully integrated vital records system in January of 2019.
  • Implemented the Tyler Technologies Odyssey Judicial Software which is a case management system for the entire judicial department  that provides a streamlined workflow in June of 2016.
  • Received an outstanding leadership award for leading with honor, commitment and integrity from retired County Clerk Shelli Miller in August of 2020.
  • Appointed to the Employee Recognition Committee from 2015 to 2021.
  • Served on the Website Committee on behalf of the County Clerk, District Clerk and the District Attorney to heighten usefulness for our citizens.

My husband Chad and I have been married for over 19 years and are the proud parents of our 17-year-old son, Christian, who is a senior at Rockwall High School. I want all of the residents of Rockwall County to know that I am available and for them to feel comfortable reaching out to me day or night.
