Kiwanis Club of Rockwall County’s Angel League announces fall season opener

ROCKWALL, TX (August 27, 2021) The Kiwanis Club of Rockwall County is pleased to announce that the Opening Day of the fall 2021 season of Angel League will be Wednesday, September 8 at Yellowjacket Park.

The Angel League is a baseball program that brings an age and skill appropriate baseball season to special needs children ages 4 to 15 and an adult coach pitch season for those 16 and up as needed.

The Kiwanis Club of Rockwall County offers the Angel League free of charge to the families participating, providing uniforms for each player. Teams are parent coached, with the whole family invited to come play and cheer on the teams!

The rules have been adapted to give each child a fun and uplifting time on the diamond. No strikes are called, no outs are recorded and every child crosses home plate with every at bat. We do not keep score, so our teams are undefeated! Any child with disabilities may play, even if assistance is needed. Walkers, wheel chairs, and mobility problems are not an issue.

Our nine week season begins Wednesday, September 8 at 6:30 p.m. and will run every Wednesday until October 20 with the awards banquet on October 27.
