Work will continue for five weeks as part of ongoing I-30 expansion project
DALLAS COUNTY – (Nov.. 5, 2021) Starting Thursday, Nov. 11, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close lanes on the westbound I-30 Lake Ray Hubbard bridge from Dalrock Road to Bass Pro Drive. The closures, which are expected to continue for five weeks, will provide room for crews to start expanding the I-30 bridge and eventually connect to a new frontage road bridge under construction.
Drivers can expect daily one-lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and nightly two-lane closures as needed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
This work is part of the $142 million project to build new frontage road bridges across the lake from Dalrock to Bass Pro, and rebuild the Dalrock interchange. Future projects will widen I-30 and add continuous frontage roads throughout Rockwall County. These I-30 projects are part of TxDOT’s Texas Clear Lanes effort to relieve congestion in major metropolitan areas.
