ROCKWALL, TX )Dec. 17, 2021 As Director of The VROC – Veterans Resource and Outreach Center, I am pleased to announce the achievement of a major milestone. For YTD 2021, we have exceeded $300,000 dollars worth of “Give Back” directly to our Veterans, First Responders and through our “Good Neighbor” Policy!
This amount includes the Food, Water, Survival & Essential Items, Transportation, Lodging, and/or Cash collected through donations and distributed directly to those in need across North Texas! Additionally, we’ve collected and directly dispersed resources in support of “Final Inspection and Burial”, Home Improvement & Storm Damage Projects, Snowmeggeddon, Task Force Avondale I, II, III, Task Force Mayfield, The Cities of Rowlett, Rockwall, and Garland, and to four other civic-minded NGO’s!
These figures do not include the more than 600 V.A. claims processed through our In-house D.A.V. Office or the Mental Health Wellness Peer Support, Training, and/or Counseling Services provided to dozens of others! In just our 2nd full year of existence this is, in my opinion, quite an achievement that could not have been done without the support of our local community! Those of you who faithfully support our Mission to Honor, Serve, and Support are to be commended!! On behalf of The VROC and our tireless team of Volunteers (without whom none of this would be possible to put together) “THANK YOU” for Making A Difference! Merry Christmas!!!
